Serial rapist arresteda

Hyderabad: An auto driver was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting several minors including school girls, by the Meerpet police on Tuesday. Apparently, some of the victims with the help of Balala Hakkula Sangham approached the Cyberabad police complaining that one Murali Krishna alias Kittu, an auto driver by profession, had raped them.

One victim, a class 1X girl in a government school at Jillelaguda, stated that some months ago, while she was going home for lunch, the accused saw her on the road and asked her to help his sister who was inside his house. When the girl entered the house, he reportedly gagged her and raped her.

Scared about the incident, the girl did not reveal it to her parents but, as the brutal incident happened repeatedly, the girl approached BHS to lodge a complaint.

When the Meerpet police detained the accused Krishna and questioned him, it came to light that he had sexually assaulted several teenage girls, especially school going girls. On the pretext of seeking assistance for his sister, he used to lure the girls into his house and rape them.

He would then threaten to kill them if they informed anyone. The police also found out that the accused had raped a minor girl after abducting her.

He had helped a couple to get married at Yadadri and taking advantage of the fact that that the girl was a minor, Krishna threatened them that he would reveal the same to the police and raped the girl for three days at Ghatkesar.

The Meerpet police have arrested Krishna under POCSO Act and remanded him. The police said the accused would be taken into custody for further investigation.
