Hyderabad: The legal fraternity held a 'maha dharna' at Indira Park seeking recall of the provisional list of allocation of judicial officers between AP and TS and revocation of all suspensions. Addressing the huge gathering at Dharna Chowk, TJAC president M Kodandaram said that both State and Centre must take up the matter on a priority keeping in mind the larger interests of the people of Telangana.

“The honourable courts must act fast regarding the division of High Court and avoid loss of credibility among the masses. If the courts want people to respect it, then it must listen to the issues raised by the aggrieved subordinate judges and resolve it accordingly.

The courts must realise that an early decision on bifurcation of HC would enhance the image of the courts. Early division of High Court will put an end to the suffering of the people of Telangana State. The formation of Telangana State is not complete without the division of High court,” he said.

The Maha dharna also witnessed some embarrassing moments when BJP Legal Cell president Vishwanath Pratap was prevented by a group of pro-TRS advocates from addressing the gathering. They shouted anti-BJP slogans when the speaker made some references to the AP Reorganisation Act about the division of HC.
