Warangal: From selling electronic products and services to selling delicious dosas, the tale of an engineering graduate Kondamidi Gopi is an inspiring tale of journey towards entrepreneurship.

After completing B. Tech (EEE) in 2011 from BITS-Narsampet in Warangal, he served in different business process outsourcing (BPO) and engineering marketing companies in Hyderabad for three years.

Three years of service in private companies has made him to seriously consider donning the role of an entrepreneur. During his stay in Hyderabad, he used to have breakfast and meals in hotels, roadside eateries and mobile tiffin centres.

“I witnessed roadside eateries and mobile tiffin centres offering quality food and as well making good money. I felt a need to change my way of working. As I belong to Warangal, I wanted to begin my journey as entrepreneur here” Gopi told The Hans India on .

Saturday. In Warangal, there is a short supply for nice eateries that offer quality and variety food. Following a basic study of the marke, Gopi found that there was good demand for it. “

Hence I planned to begin a mobile tiffin centre” he explained. Named ‘Dosa Junction’ the eatery he is running at Balasamudram area in Hanamkonda town offers dosas and idlis, a common dish among households in southern India. What is uncommon is variety of dosas he offers to the food lovers.

One could cherish a whopping 90 types of dosas and five varieties of idlis. ‘Teeenmar Dosa’, ‘Telangana Open Dosa’, Kerala Open Dosa’ Coconut Dosa, ‘Mysore Masala Dosa’, ‘Prakruthi Dosa’ ‘Chocolate Dosa’ and the list goes in the menu of Dosa Junction.

In order to maintain quality as well as the variety, Gopi hired an expert chef Ravi Raju hailing from Udipi in Karnataka which is synonymous with vegetarian food. ‘Everyone loves a good dosa and the varieties we have here delights all’ the chef said as a customer M Santhosh nods in agreement.

He spent Rs 6 lakh to buy a customised auto rickshaw to serve as his kitchen where four persons work.I invested the money saved it while working and my brother K Tirupathi, an IT employee in Hyderabad who helped him financially to begin this enterprise one and half month ago. The response from public is excellent as good food is always appreciated’ Gopi added.

He hails from a family of farmers with a small holding at Ashreddypalli of Chityal mandal in Warangal district. “My parents Rajanarsu and Pushpalatha initially were hesitant at my idea of starting a road side eatery, but now they are fully convinced’ he said. “Working on my own and offering employment to a few is immensely gratifying”, he opined.
