Congress senior leader and former Nakrekal MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah suggested the government to exclude the service roads of NH-65 and state highways from Haritha Haram programme keeping in view the welfare of villagers in the district and also six-lane road in near future. 

Nalgonda: Congress senior leader and former Nakrekal MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah suggested the government to exclude the service roads of NH-65 and state highways from Haritha Haram programme keeping in view the welfare of villagers in the district and also six-lane road in near future.

Along with his followers, Lingaiah has on Sunday removed the plants that have grown on the dividers near junctions and at U-turns on Addanki state highway and on NH-65.

Stating that these plants are the main causes for road accidents, he advised the authorities removal of plants on dividers at junctions and U-turns on national and state highways in the district so that commuters can find vehicles coming in all directions.

He quoted the recent accidents at Atipamula and Inupamula on NH-65 and Yellareddygudem of Addanki – Narketpally state highway due to plants on the dividers, in which a few persons lost their lives.
