Mulug (Warangal): A leak in the air valve of a pipeline of Devadula phase-II near Bhandarupalli in the division made valuable water to go waste. Also the leaked water is inundating the adjacent cotton and paddy crops, causing heavy damage to the farmers.

The heavy rains in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, due to a low pressure in Bay of Bengal, made the rivulets of River Godavari to overflow.

On account of heavy inflows into River Godavari, flood water entered into the Devadula Lift-Irrigation scheme.

To ease the situation, the engineers conducted a trial run by pumping water to Pulukurti and Dharmasagar reservoirs.
