Hyderabad: The Telangana Public Prosecutors’ (Tenure) Welfare Association on Monday demanded doing away with the option’s list of judicial officials and immediate reinstatement of 11 judicial officials and nine staff members of department of law who were placed under suspension.

Pledging their full support to the stir to bifurcate the common high court, the public prosecutors of all the 10 districts of the State expressed their concern over the stand taken by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court on the issue.

They felt that things would not have come to this pass had those who were occupying the highest positions acted responsibly. They appealed to the Supreme Court Chief Justice, Governor of Telugu States E S L Narasimhan, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and the Centre to take initiative to resolve the issue expeditiously.

As a result of the stir, the litigants are facing problems and under trial prisoners are forfeiting their constitutional right to get bail. They threatened to boycott work till their grievances are redressed.
