The State government on Thursday appointed Prof V Sattireddy as in-charge registrar of Sri Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University.  Following the appointment, university in-charge vice-chancellor Yelluri Siva Reddy issued orders for the same.

Hyderabad: The State government on Thursday appointed Prof V Sattireddy as in-charge registrar of Sri Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University. Following the appointment, university in-charge vice-chancellor Yelluri Siva Reddy issued orders for the same.

Prof V Sattireddy has been appointed in place of Prof Thomasiah, who laid down the office on Thursday on attaining superannuation. Born at Annaram village of Tungaturti mandal in Nalgonda district in 1961, Prof Sattireddy is the Head of the Journalism Department of the university and IQAC Director besides holding the additional charge of the academic affairs dean.

He completed his Masters Course in Journalism (MCJ) from Osmania University and PhD in journalism from Dharwad University in Karnataka. After a brief stint as a journalist, he joined Telugu University as lecturer. He was also director for some time for the distance education centre of the university.
