Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) is organising training camp for the party’s municipal chairpersons, councillors and corporators on July 8 at Prakasham Hall in Gandhi Bhavan here.

Training wing of the party convener and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar will deliver the welcome address. Later Opposition Leader in the Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly K Jana Reddy, TPCC Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy will address the gathering at the inaugural session.

In the second session, Jawaharlal Nehru Leadership Institute, New Delhi, director Suresh Sharma will deliver a lecture on the “Congress History and Ideology.” The Hans India, English news daily, editor Prof K Nageshwar will address on “Challenges of Urbanisation and role of elected representatives.” AICC representative Sreenivasan will speak on “Effective methods of propaganda and publicity.”

In the afternoon session, Sakshi editorial director K Ramachandra Murthy will speak on “Danger to democracy in Telangana. Former Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy will address on “History of BJP and RSS.”

Former Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha will speak on “Violation of Land Acquisition Act by TRS government,” Deepak John will address on “Familiarisation with Social Media,” AICC secretary V Hanumantha Rao will speak on “Failures of BJP and TRS governments,” former PCC Chief Ponnala Laxmaiah will speak on “Redesigning of Irrigation Projects a farce.”

Later, some of the Municipal Chairpersons and councillors and corporators will speak. AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh will also address the gathering. At the end of the meting, certificates will be distributed to the participants.
