Nizamabad: Traders and shop keepers observed a bandh in the town on Wednesday protesting against the closure of the railway gate situated on the road leading to the Dubba region from the Gandhi chowk from July 1.

Speaking to the media, they said that their business was badly hit by the closure of the road by the railway authorities. Now people were finding it difficult to travel on the bridge to go to Gandhi Chowk, Hamalwadi, Dubba and other
regions.

The shop keepers near the railway gate said that their trade suffered badly and they incurred heavy losses as nobody was taking the route now. They demanded justice. Except the cyclists and walkers, motorists were not coming to purchase goods, they lamented.

With the closure of the railway gate, the area wore a deserted look.
