Interestingly, Gourishankar, who reportedly completed his 6,000-odd kilometre cycle yatra – ‘Godavari Maha Pushkaralu – Telangana Abhyudayam’ on Friday, started the Haritha Telangana yatra.
Karimnagar: Continuing his campaign for the well-being of Telangana State, the 65-year-old journalist-turned-philosopher, Swamy Ponnala Gourishankar has embarked on ‘Haritha Telangana – Haritha Bharathi’ cycle Yatra from Karimnagar on Friday.
Interestingly, Gourishankar, who reportedly completed his 6,000-odd kilometre cycle yatra – ‘Godavari Maha Pushkaralu – Telangana Abhyudayam’ on Friday, started the Haritha Telangana yatra.
Finance Minister E Rajender urged the people to participate in the Haritha Haram programme. Speaking to The Hans India, Gourishankar said: “I will tour all the Telangana districts, campaigning the importance of the plantation drive. After the completion of my bicycle yatra, I will meet the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and present him Godavari waters collected from Triambak in Maharashtra to Antarvedi in Andhra Pradesh.”
