Mayor warns of action against erring workers

​Warangal: GWMC Mayor N Narender has instructed the corporation sanitation wing not to act negligently in delivering their duties.
In view of rainy season, special care should be taken in maintaining cleanliness on the roads and streets in the city on regular basis, he said. Any deviation in this regard by workers or employees would be taken seriously and action would be initiated against erring personnel, he cautioned.

The Mayor held a review meeting in Warangal on Tuesday with sanitary wing officials. He said the Municipal Health Officer and sanitary inspectors should take up division-wise action plan to clean the drains and clear garbage.

Referring to the complaints that some sanitary inspectors were switching off their mobile phones, Mayor Narender warned them of serious action. “If you not available to the citizens and corporators how can you deliver your duties effectively?” he questioned.

Some of the traders in the city are dumping garbage on the roads. Such traders should be identified and notices be issued to them. If they failed to mend their way, their trade licences should not be renewed as punishment,” he suggested. Health Officer S Sandhya, executive engineer MC Balamuni and others were present.
