Hyderabad: Minister for Municipal Administration and Information Technology K T Rama Rao on Monday stressed on the need to have reorientation and refresher courses for heavy motor vehicle drivers in order to check the accidents.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Transport Department to announce that all its services like driver’s license and new vehicle registration would henceforth be online, the Minister said applicants can directly book a slot and talk to the officials concerned.

“This initiative will help the department become more efficient,” he said. “All RTA offices in the State would not have any cash transactions as the Transport Department would be offering all its services online from August 2. There would be no manual applications in the RTA offices henceforth,” he said.
