Collector responds to report on kidney ailment of Girijans.

Sharply reacting to the report appeared on the HMTV, District Collector Lokesh Kumar instructed the District Medical and Health Officer Dr Kondal Rao to visit the Girijan village of Chenchupalli in Kothagudem mandal, where more than 350 people are suffering from various kidney ailments due to bore well drinking water. 

Khammam: Sharply reacting to the report appeared on the HMTV, District Collector Lokesh Kumar instructed the District Medical and Health Officer Dr Kondal Rao to visit the Girijan village of Chenchupalli in Kothagudem mandal, where more than 350 people are suffering from various kidney ailments due to bore well drinking water.

Dr Kondal Rao, accompanied by a team of physicians, visited the village on Thursday. After interacting with the villagers, who are suffering from kidney ailments and going through the medical reports, Dr Kondal Rao collected water samples from the bore wells in the village to send the same to Hyderabad for further tests.

Dr Kondala Rao told the HMTV/The Hans India reporter that the victims would be taken to Khammam government hospital for dialysis.

The District Collector also instructed the team of doctors to set up a permanent medical camp in the village.

The villagers thanked the HMTV for taking their plight to the notice of the higher officials. They also thanked the District Collector for responding immediately to find solution to their problem.
