Hyderabad: The countdown to supply drinking water through pipeline in Gajwel Assembly constituency from next month as part of the Mission Bhageeratha has begun.
The authorities have been conducting trial runs in many habitats of the constituency. They are engrossed in giving final touches to the project, attending to minor works.
Accompanied by Panchayat Raj Special Chief Secretary SP Singh, Mission Bhageeratha Vice-Chairman Vemula Prashant Reddy inspected the project works in the constituency on Wednesday.
He inspected the Komati Banda head works, sump house and pump house and expressed satisfaction over the progress. He ordered the officials to complete the remaining works as early as possible.
Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to take part in the inaugural function, Singh directed the officials to beautify the place around the helipad. He also inspected the sites for helipad.
