New Delhi: Telangana State Minister K T Rama Rao on Wednesday said that TRS MPs will not vote in favour of the private members bill on special status for Andhra Pradesh when it would come up for voting on Friday.

Talking to media here, Municipal Administration & Urban Development Minister Rama Rao said that private members bill makes no sense and even if KVP stands head over heels he cannot achieve anything. The Congress party was indulging in gimmick which will not help them in anyway, he said.

Rao said the Congress party, which has been in power for several decades, certainly knows that a private members bill even if voted by all can be of no use.

Instead, they should have talked to all political parties and convinced them on the issue and then should have made the government to come up with a bill to amend the AP State Reorganisation Act.
