Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao called on Governor E S L Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Thursday and discussed with him the security arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Telangana on August 7.

This is the Chief Minister’s first meeting with the governor after his visit to New Delhi, where he extended an invitation to the Prime Minister to launch the prestigious Mission Bhagiratha programme and also participate in development works in the State.

The Chief Minister spent nearly 90 minutes with the Governor and briefed him about the developments in Delhi, including his request to the PM for speedy bifurcation of the High Court among the two Telugu states.

It is learnt that Modi had assured the Chief Minister that he would talk to the Union Law Minister on the subject.
