Hyderabad: The Meteorological department bulletin on Saturday issued a warning of heavy rain occurring at isolated places in Medak, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad and Mahbubnagar districts during the next two days.

The bulletin said a low pressure area is likely to form over the north-west Bay of Bengal in the next 48 hours. The upper air cyclonic circulation over Rayalaseema and its neighbourhood now lies over interior Karnataka and its neighbourhood and over the east-central Bay and its neighbourhood above the mean sea level.

The forecast said that under the influence of the trough from Odisha to south Tamil Nadu along and off the coastal part of Andhra Pradesh and the upper air cyclonic circulation, heavy rain is likely to occur on August 1.

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are forecast at a few places in Telangana from July 31 to August 4. No major change in the weather outlook is expected in the next three days. During the last 24 hours rain occurred at many places in Warangal, Ranga Reddy, Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar,
Nizamabad and Khammam districts, with Palakurthi (Warangal) recording 10 cm of rainfall.

While there was 7 cm rainfall each in Hayathnagar (Ranga Reddy), Venkatapur & Ibrahimpatnam (Ranga Reddy), 6 cm was recorded in Pargi & Hakimpet (both in Ranga Reddy) whereas Ramannapeta (Nalgonda), Wanaparthy (Mahbubnagar), Manchal (Ranga Reddy) and Kampasagar (Nalgonda) received 4 cm each.

There was 3 cm rain in Narmetta, Jukkal, Aswaraopeta, Ranjal, Chinthakam, Saroornagar and Bheemadevarpalle and 2 cm each in Khammam Urban, Luxettipet, Dharmapuri, Damaragidda, Zaffergadh, Hyderabad Airport, Adilabad, Atmakur, Tandur.
