On Wednesday, the ministers inaugurated the Launch Station and sailed in Palguni boat. Later speaking to the media, ministers Chandulal and Jagadish Reddy said that earlier Telangana State people has to go the right bank launch station in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh to have a boat drive in River Krishna.

​Nalgonda: Ministers Azmeera Chandulal and G Jagadish Reddy said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao took the initiation for the establishment of Launch Station at Hill Colony in Nagarjuna Sagar for the benefit of tourists and others.

On Wednesday, the ministers inaugurated the Launch Station and sailed in Palguni boat. Later speaking to the media, ministers Chandulal and Jagadish Reddy said that earlier Telangana State people has to go the right bank launch station in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh to have a boat drive in River Krishna.

This is causing not only inconvenience to the tourists but also causing revenue loss to the TS government. Following the orders of KCR, the officials have successfully established Launch Station in the district in a short span of two years at Down Park in Hill Colony in Nagarjuna Sagar.

The estimated cost of this project was Rs 1.30 crores and the two launches at a cost of Rs 1.25 crore.
Presently one boat is functioning and the second one will be ready to use by next month.

Later the ministers inspected Pushkar ghats in Nagarjuna Sagar and planted saplings at Buddhavanam. District Collector P Satyanarayana Reddy, MP Gutha Sukender Reddy, State Tourism Corporation Chairman P Ramulu, Secretary Venkateswarlu, MD Kristiyana, ED Manhohar, Mallepalli Laxmaiah and local leaders were present in the programme.
