Telangana Jagruthi has launched a special plan of action to provide employment opportunities to youth, besides safeguarding the Telangana culture, traditions and art, said its founder president and Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha.
​Nalgonda: Telangana Jagruthi has launched a special plan of action to provide employment opportunities to youth, besides safeguarding the Telangana culture, traditions and art, said its founder president and Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha.
She inaugurated the 10th anniversary meeting of Telangana Jagruthi at Lakshmi Gardens in Nalgonda on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, Kavitha said several parties and people’s unions took active part in Telangana agitation.
Telangana Jagruthi has been formed with a few members in 2006 to make the rural public as partners in the agitation.
The organisation has united with all Telangana people all over the world and the 10 wings of the Jagruthi, including Telangana Jagruthi Students Federation, Telangana Jagruthi Youth Federation, Rythu Jagruthi etc are presently functioning. New wings would also be launched soon.
The MP said they are providing training to youth by establishing skill training centres in all parliamentary constituencies with the Central government’s aid. In six months, training was provided to 3,500 persons and jobs were provided to 1,500.
The Jagruthi has identified 369 farmers’ families that incurred losses and has been extending a financial help of Rs 2,500 per months for four years.
Kavitha emphasised the need to increase women involvement in State politics. Referring to the few number of women delegates attending the meeting, she stated that there will be 30 per cent women dignitaries on the stage in the next anniversary celebrations of Telangana Jagruthi.
TNGOs honorary president Devi Prasad Rao said the Telangana Jagruthi has played an equally important role as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the Telangana agitation.
It was succeeded in highlighting the Telangana culture and self-respect of the State people at the international level. Earlier, Kavitha hoisted the flag of Telangana Jagruthi.
Noted writers N Sidha Reddy, Venu Sankoju, Rythu Jagruthi president Prof Sridhar, Jagruthi State vice-president M Rajiv Sagar, general secretary Naveen Achari, Nalgonda district president Bhonagiri Devender, Tirupathi Rao, Vijayabhanu and other local leaders attended the
meeting.
Nearly 2,000 delegates from all 10 districts and also from Mumbai unit and NRI units of Telangana Jagruthi will attend the two-day meeting.

K Kavitha, on her arrival at Nalgonda.
TRS district president Banda Narender Reddy, Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham, TRS Nalgonda constituency in-charge Dubbaka Narsimha Reddy and Nalgonda Municipal Chairperson Boddupally Lakshmi Srinivas, MPP Rajitha were among those who welcomed Kavitha at Nalgonda by-pass road near Marriguda.
The Mp also visited Renuka Ellamma temple at Marriguda and performed special puja.
