Khammam: Communist Party of India (CPI) State secretariat member and former Kothagudem MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao expressed fear that reorganisation of districts would likely deprive employment opportunities to local youth as the government was of the opinion of merging Bayyaram and Garla mandals with the proposed Mahabubabad district.

Against this backdrop, Khammam youth stands to lose their job opportunities if Bayyaram and Garla mandals are merged with the proposed Mahabubabad district,” Rao said, opposing the State government’s move. Referring to the prevailing dry conditions in the district, he demanded the government that it should come up with an action plan to rescue the farmers.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was trying to siphon off crores of rupees in the name of redesigning the irrigation projects, Rao alleged, criticising the TRS government for not fulfilling its poll promises.
