Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday called on Governor E S L Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan. The three-hour long meeting assumed importance as the Chief Minister was accompanied by Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma to explain about the special session of the Assembly held on Tuesday to ratify the Constitutional amendment for the introduction of  GST.

The three-hour long meeting assumed importance as the Chief Minister was accompanied by Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma to explain about the special session of the Assembly held on Tuesday to ratify the Constitutional amendment for the introduction of GST.

Advocate General K Ramakrishan Reddy briefed Naraismhan on the technicalities in the GST. Issuance of draft notification for the creation of new districts, progress in the formation of districts and extension of the term of Chief Secretary for another three months also figured during the meeting.

Coincidentally, ACB Director General A K Khan arrived at Raj Bhavan when the Chief Minister was holding a meeting with the Governor. It is learnt that Narasimhan enquired about the progress in the cash-for-vote scam and the ACB court’s fresh direction to the investigation agency in regard to the probe.
