Hyderabad: “Did KCR order Nayeem's encounter?” asked Leader of Opposition Mohammed Ali Shabbir in Telangana State Legislative Council on Tuesday. During the discussion on a bill on Cyberabad Commissionerate, Congress MLC Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy touched upon the subject of alleged encounter killing of gangster Nayeemudddin.

He asked as to why the list of police officials and politicians associated with the gangster was not being made public. Intervening in the discussion, Legislative Affairs Minister T Harish Rao said that the government was ready to give a detailed reply on the issue if raised at appropriate time when the regular monsoon session would be held.

The government would give a detailed reply on the issue and would expose who “nourished” and supported the gangster. However, he said people were happy with the “decision” taken by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.Shabbir Ali asked whether the Minister meant to say that it was KCR's decision to kill Nayeem.

“Did the CM order the encounter ?,” he asked amidst mild laughter in the House. Harish Rao quickly corrected himself and said he was referring to the way KCR was running the administration in the State and not the encounter.
