Hyderabad: During a review meeting with officials on new districts and allocation of staff and arrangements for new offices and necessary measures, Health Minister Dr C Laxma Reddy on Thursday asked the former to adjust the staff as there would be no new recruitments.

“Though one district is to split into two or three districts, we need to adjust the existing officials and staff to offer better health services to the people. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao wants more number of districts in a scientific manner for speedy governance and easy administration to reach all the people,” he said.

Though he recently said that vacant posts in the Health department would be filled, the Minister clarified that the existing staff and officials would be adjusted among the new districts. Related proposals should be made, avoiding delay and submit to the government, he said.

The Minister further said the people were developing confidence on government hospitals and the officials should offer better services. Health Principal Secretary Rajeshwar Tiwari, Joint Secretary Bharathi Naik, Family Welfare Commissioner Budha Prakash and others participated in the review meeting.
