The PIL bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice U Durga Prasad Rao on Thursday directed the government of Telangana to hold discussions with Helping Hand Foundation, an NGO from Hyderabad, to ascertain the bonafides and capacity of the NGO to finance and support the conjoined twins Veena and Vani.

​Hyderabad: The PIL bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice U Durga Prasad Rao on Thursday directed the government of Telangana to hold discussions with Helping Hand Foundation, an NGO from Hyderabad, to ascertain the bonafides and capacity of the NGO to finance and support the conjoined twins Veena and Vani.

The bench was dealing with a petition filed by the NGO that the girls were not given proper facilities at the Niloufer Hospital and that the NGO was willing to pay Rs 15,000 per month to the family of twins and that they be shifted to Warangal. The bench adjourned the matter to Wednesday.
