​Hyderabad: Demonetised Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes would remain legal tender in all 3,000 special buses on Friday and Saturday, said Minister for Transport P Mahender Reddy here on Thursday. This would give a greater relief to candidates appearing for Group-2 examinations.

The Minister reviewed the transport arrangements for the Group-2 examinations with the TSRTC MD G V Ramana Rao on Thursday. The Telangana Public Service Commission is holding Group-2 examination on November 11 and 13 in the State.

The Minister said the TSRTC would take steps to transport the candidates appearing for examination and for this purpose 3,000 additional buses would be deployed.

In Hyderabad, 1,000 to 1,200 additional buses would be operated and in the districts buses would be operated as per the requirements.
