Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be visiting New Delhi this week for the wedding reception of Union minister Nitin Gadkari’s daughter Ketki.

KCR is likely to seek help from Centre for the promotion of cashless transactions in the state with the availablity of swipe machines, improving internet services, banking system and would be discussing the same with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit.

The Chief Minister also plans to meet Union Ministers on various pending issues including dues from the Centre.

Finance minister Etela Rajender in a meeting on Wednesday at the Secretariat expressed his displeasure at RBI not providing the low currency notes in the state even a month after demonetisation due to which the banks and ATMs are witnessing long queues.

He informed that the RBI had sent Rs 15,563 crore new currency to the state but 94 percent comprised of Rs 2000 notes and urged for the supply of low value notes.
