Gajwel: Not all are happy with the mass house warming ceremony, involving 600 2BHK houses, being held in Erravalli and Narsannapet villages on Friday. There are a few families whose houses got damaged during demolition of certain old houses in both the villages in 2015 to make way for the new houses.

Neeruganti Balamani, a resident of Narsannapet, is sore about the damage done to her house which was constructed by her mother-in-law several years ago. While demolishing the old houses adjacent to her house, some parts of her house got damaged.

Cracks in a wall are clearly visible. The vaastu of her house was previously perfect, but went against the shastra after the construction of new houses, she told The Hans India. She now wants the government to demolish her house and construct a new one just like the other 2BHK houses.

She owns only half-an-acre of agricultural land and her husband is a farm labourer. Her son is studying. “People who have land are getting tractors from the government. Why don’t they give us a tractor so that we can also prosper?” she asks.

Similar is the situation with regard to another woman whose house is located by the side of the village road in Erravalli.

When sewage pipeline was laid by the side of the road, a part of her house was demolished. She was assured that a 2BHK house would be built for her, but she is not hopeful that it would happen anytime soon.
