Hyderabad: New generation kids are proving to be highly intelligent. In some instances, they behave like matured persons surprising one and all.

In one such incident, a third standard student approached the Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar police on Friday seeking their intervention in stopping his grandmother from harassing his parents.

According to S R Nagar Station House Officer (SHO), Mohammed Waheeduddin, the boy, who lives in the next lane, came to the police station on Friday evening. One of the head constables at the reception asked the boy whether he needs any help.

“The head constable thought the boy might have been looking for his parents. Instead, the boy surprised the head constable that he was fed up with his grandmother’s behaviour and wanted action against her,” the SHO said.

The boy told the head constable that his grandmother abuses his father and mother every day demanding money and creates nuisance due to which there was no peace in his home.

The head constable was shocked at the bold and intelligent step of the seven-year-old and asked the boy to give his father’s phone number.

Subsequently, the officials summoned the father of the boy to the police station. The boy’s family was already looking for him and were about to come to police station to lodge a missing complaint.

But a big surprise was in store for the boy’s father at the police station. The boy’s father was shocked to know that kid had actually come to the police station to lodge a complaint against his grandmother.

The kid’s father, who is in Ayyappa deeksha, told the police that his child was an intelligent and smart one and came to the police station probably influenced by the television programmes.

He also said that what the kid told the police was a domestic issue which is a routine thing that happens in every household.

The police personnel, who were surprised at the smartness of the kid, sent him back with his father saying that they will warn his grandmother to change her behaviour.
