​Hyderabad: Telangana JAC Chairman Prof M Kodandaram on Monday demanded that the government implement its election promise of providing 12 per cent reservation to Muslims in the State.

The JAC chairman was speaking at a meeting organised on 12 per cent reservations to Muslims at Madina Education Centre on Monday.

The JAC Chairman said the Sudheer committee gave its recommendations and these were valuable. He said implementation of Sudheer Committee's recommendations would not mean discrimination to SCs, BCs and other section.

All the other sections would also get benefit from these recommendations and all sections should demand reservations for Muslims, he said. The JAC would hold meetings on Sudheer Committee's recommendations in every district,” Kodandaram said.

Former leader of Aam Admi Party Yogendra Yadav said the representation of Muslims had come down in the government employment and this section was facing discrimination in private employment also.
