​Hyderabad: Director General of Police (DGP), Anurag Sharma, on Friday inaugurated the construction work of the much-hyped Command and Control Towers at Banjara Hills.

Speaking on the occasion, Anurag Sharma said, the construction of Integrated Command and Control Towers is expected to be completed in 21 months as promised by the builders.

Four towers with 20 floors each would be built and all the four towers would be connected with a bridge for inter-connectivity, he said adding that the entire police administration of Telangana would be carried out from these towers.

State-of-the-art equipment would be installed at these towers to monitor the law and order, traffic and any other emergency situations. Initially, Hyderabad City Police would get the benefit of the Command and Control Tower.

Subsequently, the facility would be expanded to the entire state police, the DGP said. In case of emergencies, the facilities being set up at the Command and Control Towers would be made available for other departments too, the DGP said.

He exuded confidence that the towers would be a matter of pride for Telangana police in near future. City Police Commissioner, M Mahendar Reddy and other senior IPS officers were present at the occasion.
