Donations pour in for orphaned girls

Mahbubnagar: In response to a report published in these columns, Telangana Beda Budaga Jangam Association on Sunday donated a cheque for Rs 50,000 to four orphaned girls.

In a meeting, the youth pooled money and raised Rs 30,000 for the girls, while the association leaders belonging to various mandals of Nagarkurnool district raised another Rs 20,000 for the sake of the girls.

It may be recalled that the four girls were orphaned with their mother leaving them following a clash with husband and their father dying in a road accident. The students and youth leaders Girikondapalli Swamy, Sirisala Parvata sekhar, Parvatam Lokesh and others were present on the occasion.
