​Hyderabad: Chairman of Atomic Energy Commission (AEC), Sekhar Basu on Thursday congratulated the ECIL employees on completion of 50 years of excellence in the field of electronics and wished the corporation all the best in its future endeavours.
He was speaking at the Golden Jubilee celebrations at a glittering function held here on Thursday. A video on the reminiscence of 50 glorious years of ECIL was played on the occasion which enthralled the audience.
Earlier, addressing the media, Sekhar Basu and the Chairman and Managing Director Debashis Das said that ECIL had achieved a turnover of Rs 1,495 crore for the year 2016-17 and was poised to cross Rs 2,500 crore in the near future.
He also said the ECIL had received orders from the Election Commission of India (ECI) for the supply of around eight lakh VVPATs (Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail) and for the supply of EVMs worth Rs 2,100 crore.
