Irreparable loss to Telangana: Harish
Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao and IT Minister KT Rama Rao Saturday expressed grief and shock at the demise of Government Advisor and irrigation expert, R Vidyasagar Rao. It may be noted that Rao died at Continental Hospital in Hyderabad on Saturday morning.

Harish Rao said that the State lost a great irrigation engineer and a scientist. He said Vidyasagar Rao got tremendous knowledge and awareness on irrigation projects. Rao’s death is an irreparable loss to Telangana, he said.
Rao made his best efforts and stood behind Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who has been striving to irrigate one crore acres in Telangana. Rao has shown comprehensive plan on how injustice was done to Telangana in irrigation sector with “Neellu – Nijalu (Water’Facts) programme, Harish recalled.
Vidyasagar gave instructions from time to time on reaching the target of irrigating one crore acres and appreciated the government for launching Mission Kakatiya programme, Harish said. He recalled that Rao offered unprecedented services to the irrigation sector and tried his best to safeguard the state interests.
