Hyderabad: In a bid to promote tourism in Hyderabad, Telangana Tourism Department in collaboration with Indwell Aviation Pvt. Ltd and Thumby Aviation will provide a bird’s eye view of the famous tourist destinations of the city, through helicopter rides. Tourists and residents can now have a glimpse of the major tourist places in Hyderabad from a height of 1,500 feet.
The helicopter ride would be for ten minutes and would connect important tourist destinations.


According to a press release from the department, the helicopter would take off from the Necklace Road and would go through Tank Bund over the Buddha Statue, Lumbini Park, NTR Garden, Birla Mandir, Charminar, Mecca Masjid, High Court, Osmania Hospital, IMAX, Sanjeevaiah Park, Snow world and land near the Department of Tourism, Necklace road in a time span of ten minutes.

Govind Nair, Director of Business Development Thumby Aviation, told The Hans India that this was a joint operation by Telangana Tourism department, Thumby Aviation, Indwell Aviation and Telangana State Aviation Corporation. He said ticket per person would cost Rs 3,500, price for couple would be Rs 6,500 and for children below 15 years it would be Rs 2,500. The joy rides would be provided once in two to three months, he added.

The department would start the joy rides from today till May 14 at Necklace Road, since large number of tourists would be visiting Hyderabad during the summer vacations. Tourism department can be contacted at 09447777110 for further queries and questions.
