Procure paddy from farmers, pay in time: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday instructed Civil Supplies Department (CSD) officials to ensure that paddy,under this year’s rabi crop,is procured from farmers and payments are made without any delay. Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday instructed Civil Supplies Department (CSD) officials to ensure that paddy,under this year’s rabi crop,is procured from farmers and payments are made without any delay. The Chief Minister said the government is ready to spend any amount of money to purchase paddy and asked the officials to arrange for immediate payments to farmers without causing delay.
The CM held a review meeting with Civil Supplies Commissioner CV Anand and other officials at PragathiBhavan here on procurement of paddy at the Civil Supplies procurement centres in the State. The officials informed KCR that last year, the procurement was 9 lakh tonnesand this year by this time, 37 lakh tonnes of paddy has already been procured and another 2 lakh tonnes are expected at the procurement centres.
