A 26-year-old man who was arrested for a vehicle theft at Zaheerabad in Sangareddy district died on Thursday after suddenly falling ill.
A 26-year-old man who was arrested for a vehicle theft at Zaheerabad in Sangareddy district died on Thursday after suddenly falling ill.
The man, Jadhav Jaipal alias Jai Singh was a habitual offender and was taken into police custody in a vehicle theft case. However, in the evening, he complained of uneasiness and was taken immediately to a loval hospital. Later, he was shifted to Gandhi hospital for better treatment but succumbed to death.
His relatives are alleging that Jaipal had in fact been arrested on June 19 and died due to custodial torture.
