Hyderabad: The Osmania University administration has urged all students who have completed their courses and are overstaying in the hostels to vacate immediately. The OU administration said it would be constrained to initiate stringent action against those over-staying in the hostels.

The Administration stated some hostels are in a dilapidated and awful state as they were built several decades back. The facilities in the hostels have come under a great strain and overcrowding has compounded the problem.

The University pointed out that it plans to step up renovation work which will ensure better accommodation to the fresh batch of students to be admitted for the 2017-18 session and the inmates can pursue their academics in decent living conditions.“This initiative is a part of the reforms undertaken by the University,” the press note said.

Appealing to the non-bonafide students to vacate the hostels immediately, the administration has issued a veiled warning to such students that the University would not hesitate to deal with them in strictest terms.
