Demanding the wage hike on par with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation employees and permanent emplacement of outsourcing workers working in municipalities and panchayats across the Telangana, Municipal Joint Action Committee (JAC) on Thursday has decided to go on strike on August 29 and August 30. 

Hyderabad: Demanding the wage hike on par with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation employees and permanent emplacement of outsourcing workers working in municipalities and panchayats across the Telangana, Municipal Joint Action Committee (JAC) on Thursday has decided to go on strike on August 29 and August 30.

The municipal JAC, including seven unions like CITU, FTU, BMS, HMS, IFTU and AITUC, has demanded State government to provide permanent employment to all outsourcing workers working in municipalities and panchayats.

The municipal JAC submitted memorandum to Labour Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy and requested him to resolve the issue. The JAC demanded the government to increase salaries according GO 14.
