Express Security Check launched for passengers at Hyderabad airport

The Hyderabad airport has got the country's first Express Security Check facility for domestic passengers. The move aims to reduce the waiting time during the check-in at the airports.

The facility finishes the security check at the terminal's entry gate itself and benefit around 40% passengers - particularly the frequent flyers and those who travel without any checked-in luggage.

The airlines are also likely to benefit with the queues at the check-in counters getting reduced and improve their on-time performance (OTP).

Previously, the passengers had to enter the airport all the way till security check area with documents getting checked at the terminal entry gate.

Now, the ESC has been launched at the Hyderabad airport with 100 percent e-boarding facility and other airports in the country are yet to have such boarding mechanism.

The domestic passengers can enter the Express Security Check lane without getting into the check-in area after printing their boarding pass from the installed 'self-service kiosks' located conveniently at the terminal building and head straight towards the boarding area.
