DS, son to join BJP camp?

Nizamabad: An advertisement given by former cricketer and realtor Dharmapuri Aravind, who is the son of State Government Advisor D Srinivas, has sparked a speculation that father-son duo may go over to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) camp.

Grapevine has it that Aravind intends to contest from Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency on the BJP ticket. There have been unconfirmed reports that the BJP is said to have offered an important position to Srinvias.

Aravind, speaking to The Hans India, however denied the reports. “As of now, I am not interested in joining politics,” he clarified. But he said, “I like Prime Minister Modi very much. I feel that the nation needs a Prime Minister like Modi.”

It may be recalled that Srinivas had rebutted the speculations in the social media that he would defect to some other party. He said he was very much comfortable in the TRS. He had in fact threatened legal action against those who floated rumours.
