Mohammedi Begum, hailing from Hyderabad who is stranded in Pakistan has now been issued a passport by the Indian embassy in the country.

She was married to a Pakistan national and had been staying in the country after her marriage. However, after dealing with her husband's torture, she expressed her willingness to return to India few months back.

Begum's parents approached Union Minister for external affairs Sushma Swaraj and the case was taken up in April.

MBT leader Amjedullah Khan, who is pursuing the case spoke to the embassy officials recently and was informed that her case for visa regulation is pending with the government of Pakistan.
