Senior cartoonist T Mohan, who was suffering from a long illness due to multiple health complications, passed away in the early hours of Thursday at Care Hospitals in Banjara Hills.

Hyderabad: Senior cartoonist T Mohan, who was suffering from a long illness due to multiple health complications, passed away in the early hours of Thursday at Care Hospitals in Banjara Hills.

Mohan (67) was well known for his political and social satire cartoons in a clutch of vernacular newspapers. He was admitted to Care Hospitals on September 7. The artist was kept on ventilator for a while before his condition started to stabilise.
According to doctors, Mohan was also on dialysis support during his treatment. Mohan worked as a cartoonist in several Telugu newspapers including, Eenadu and Andhra Prabha.

He was cremated at Mahaprasthanam in Jubilee Hills. The Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao expressed his condolences on the demise of Mohan to the bereaved family members. The Chief Minister said Mohan’s political and social satire cartoons stole the hearts of many people. The YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy expressed his deep condolences over the death of T Mohan.
