Sircilla, Siddipet civic bodies bag Swachh drive awards
Sircilla and Siddipet Municipalities of Telangana State bagged national awards for their Swachh campaign on Monday.
New Delhi: Sircilla and Siddipet Municipalities of Telangana State bagged national awards for their Swachh campaign on Monday.
The awards were given away at the 3rd National Swachh Bharat Mission attended by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Samala Pavani Devadas, Chairman of Sircilla Municipality and Commissioner Ramanjula Reddy received the award. Sirciilla and Siddipet Municipalities were given the award for excellence in the functioning of Dry Resource Collection Centres.
While, Rajanna Sircilla district and Jagityal district bagged the 100 per cent ODF (Open Defecation Free) award which were received by the Collectors, Krishna Bhaskar and Sharat.
Though the State government had recommended Suryapet Municipality too, it was not considered for the award.
