Hyderabad: Despite orders issued by the Directorate of School Education, more than 50 per cent of the private schools across the city are yet to upload details of fee structure and expenditure of their institutions. The State government issued a circular on August 30, directing the private school managements to upload the fee structure and expenditure of their institutions for the academic years 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and fee collected during 2017-2018.

However, the instructions of the government fell on deaf ears of private school managements and they claimed that the circular lacked clarity. According to the orders issued by the Directorate, the private school management should use school USISE code as user ID and GUEST as password to login to the website and upload the details. The District Educational officer was asked to instruct all the private schools, including those CBSE, ICSE, IB and Cambridge ones, to upload details on ww.cdse.telangana.gov.in by September 15.

Reacting to non-compliance of the government directive by the private school managements, Ashish Naredi, a member of Hyderabad Schools Parents Association said the private schools have been charging exorbitant fee which is a major concern for parents.

He said there are instructions given by the Directorate of School Education and according to GO 1 issued on January 1, 1994 all the private schools have to upload details fee structure. He said that till September 15 only 108 schools across the Telangana had uploaded details when there are more than 5,000 private schools in the city itself.

A private school principal on condition of anonymity said the managements were yet to upload that fee structure and school expenditure online. She said the school management would wait until other city schools uploaded the fee structure and expenditure information. She said that there is no clarity as to which documents to be uploaded online and have been waiting for clarification from the school management.

When contacted, Director of School Education G Kishan said the date for uploading the data had been extended to October 15 and passed on the buck on the Centre for Good Governance.

Meanwhile, according to GO 1 issued on January 1, 1994, the management should apply for grant of permission, recognition for opening, upgradation of Pre-Primary, Primary, Upper Primary and High School through online website of School Education and also to instruct the existing private school managements to upload the information along with relevant documents.
