KCR orders promotions to 275 police officers
Finally the issue of long-time pending police officers promotions has been solved. After having a marathon four hour deliberations with the police officials, Legal officers and public representatives, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday decided to give promotions at one go to 275 officials as non-cadre SPs, ASPs, DSPs.

After having a marathon four hour deliberations with the police officials, Legal officers and public representatives, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday decided to give promotions at one go to 275 officials as non-cadre SPs, ASPs, DSPs.
With this, every officer till 1994 batch would get a promotion. The Chief Minister also signed on the file regarding promotions. As many as 39 CIs has been promoted as DSPs, 103 DSPs as ASPs and 33 ASPs were elevated as non-cadre SPs.
Following the promotions, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to fill the vacancies or create supernumerary posts, if need be.
“In the united AP, apointments were made zonal-wise but the zonal ratio was not followed in the promotions,” KCR said. His government rendered justice to the Inspectors, particularly hailed from Warangal zone in the promotions.
