Addressing a press conference along with Government Whip in Council P Rajeshwar Reddy, MLA A Ramesh, MLC P Ravinder here, the Minister urged the Congress leaders to withdraw the ‘Chalo Assembly’ programme scheduled to be held on Friday.

He questioned how K Jana Reddy can allow his party leaders to take up the programme when he himself is the Leader of Opposition. “Who will take the responsibility if something untoward happens during the Chalo Assembly,” asked Harish Rao.

He said that the Congress party as the main Opposition can raise any issue. There is no time constraint for the Opposition, but still the party calls for protest programme of Chalo Assembly, which shows their restlessness.

Harish Rao recalled that when the Chief Minister took up a PowerPoint presentation in the Assembly, the main Opposition Congress party had boycotted the proceedings. The TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy said on record that his party leaders had come without preparation, said Rao.

Harish Rao said that the Congress leader Jana Reddy should know more about the rules. While Jana Reddy was the Home Minister, restrictions were imposed in 5 km radius of the Assembly. The processing in the House are being conducted smoothly compared to those in the House in the united AP.
