Science Exhibition turns out to be a big hit
The 45th Jawaharlal Nehru district-level Scientific and Environment exhibition held at Paradise Function hall for the first time in Jogulamba Gadwal had become a big hit among students in the district. Students from as many as 175 schools, both private and government showcased more than 350 experiments and scientific projects, exhibiting their innovative talents to the visitors.
Gadwal: The 45th Jawaharlal Nehru district-level Scientific and Environment exhibition held at Paradise Function hall for the first time in Jogulamba Gadwal had become a big hit among students in the district. Students from as many as 175 schools, both private and government showcased more than 350 experiments and scientific projects, exhibiting their innovative talents to the visitors.
Local MLA D K Aruna, District Education officer Venugopal and Bhandari Bhaskar, Zilla Parishad chairman inaugurated the Science fair. The school children from different schools also exhibited cultural programmes and welcomed the dignitaries for the Science Fair. “It is really a proud moment for us to witness such a huge science exhibition being held in Gadwal district for the first time.
In fact, this is the best platform for the students to exhibit their hidden talents. Such exhibitions will also enhance the creativity and give more confidence among the students to think big and become great scientists like our former president Dr Abdul Kalam,” said D K Aruna while addressing the students at the Science Exhibition.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhandari Bhaskar said the State government is giving highest priority to improve the quality of education in the State and is providing all kinds of support and facilities to the government schools to ensure the poor students get best education in the state. “Before formation of Telangana, we had only 296 gurukul residential schools in the State. But after formation of new Telangana state, the State government had increased this number to 544 gurukulas so that students from different categories get best education in the State,” said Bhandari Bhaskar.
Bhandari Bhaskar said that the government would support more such science fairs and other student related events wherein the students can exhibit their hidden talents in the form of scientific experiments and later on can take forward the same enthusiasm to become great scientist in the future and can benefit to the larger good of the society.
The ZP chairman asked the children to utilise the opportunities provided by the government and excel in their field of interest and also asked them to convince their parents to construct individual latrines, which is very important for a developed society. “As an encouragement, we will provide Rs. 6000 to the family of the student whoever comes forward for the construction of ILs.
As we want to make Gadwal district Open Defection Free, we need the support of the students, who can convince their parents in achieving this task,” said Bhaskar. Venugopal DEO congratulated the students, headmasters and school correspondents from both the private and government schools for making this Science exhibition a big success in the district.
