A senior doctor, Pesaru Vijay Chander Reddy, has been elected as the Chairman of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Warangal Chapter. He was elected during an election conducted at the IRCS office in Hanamkonda on Wednesday. The election was necessitated following the recent demise of previous chairman Dr T Ravinder Rao.

Hanamkonda: A senior doctor, Pesaru Vijay Chander Reddy, has been elected as the Chairman of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Warangal Chapter. He was elected during an election conducted at the IRCS office in Hanamkonda on Wednesday. The election was necessitated following the recent demise of previous chairman Dr T Ravinder Rao.

Warangal Urban Revenue Divisional Officer K Venkat Reddy and Hanamkonda Tahsildar S Kiran Kumar monitored the conduct of election. District Collector Amrapali Kata and IRCS state general secretary Madanmohan Rao greeted the newly elected chairman.

The society vice-chairman Dr K Sudhakar Reddy, treasurer M Nagaiah, managing committee members EV Srinivasa Rao, Potlapalli Srinivas Rao, G Purushotham, P V Narayana Goud, B Hariprasad, B Papi Reddy, Dr T Vijaya Laksmi, Ch Jayasri and manager M Ravinder Rao have also extended their greetings to Dr Vijay Chander Reddy and felicitated him.

Speaking on the occasion, the new chairman assured that he would make efforts to streamline the functioning of the IRCS and to maintain transparency. He appealed the public in the society, mainly the youth, to make it a habit to donate blood as frequently as possible to save the lives of the needy.
