A Hyderabad-based jeweller was allegedly cheated of Rs 1.2 crore by two persons who sold him a fake diamond.

The Central Zone Task Force arrested the two suspects - Salam Khan and another man had been in possession of the fake diamond.
The duo approached people regarding the ‘original’ diamond with an estimated market value of Ra 4 crore.
After striking a deal with a trader last month, they collected the money of Rs 1.2 crore 10 days ago and the victim took the diamond.
However, when he got the diamond checked at a jewellery store, it turned to be a fake and approached the police who tracked down the duo. The police even recovered the Rs 1.2 crore from them.
