Kothagudem: All arrangements were made for conducting the SSC examinations from March 15 to April 2 in the district, said district education officer (DEO) D Vasanthi.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, she said as many as 15,045 students – 13,235 regular and 1,810 private - are appearing for the examinations. Of the 78 exam centres set up for the exams, 70 are for regular students and eight for private candidates.

13 teams of sitting squads and five teams of flying squads were pressed into service while 1,231 invigilators will monitor the examinations, she explained. Separate checking team arranged for the nine centres, identified as troublesome in the district.

The DEO directed the students not to bring mobile phones to the examination centre. They were told to reach their exam centre half-an-hour before the schedule. She warned them that they will not be allowed to entre the hall even if they come late by five minutes.

The DEO told the officials concerned to call on mobile number 8978931422, if they found mass copying in any centre in the district.
